Accommodation at Spier Wine Estate

The conference will convene at Spier Wine Estate, Stellenbosch. Stellenbosch is a scenic university town situated in the winelands of the Western Cape. Magnificent natural surroundings, graceful architecture and the inherent elegance of Spier make it the perfect venue to host the Speaker Odyssey Conference. Rooms at Spier are now available on a first come, first serve basis.

Accommodation Registration Form

  1. All rates quoted include VAT at the prevailing rate of 14% but exclude government room levy.
  2. Accommodation will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
  3. A deposit covering one nights’ accommodation (on an individual basis) is required to secure your reservation.
  4. The accommodation reservation form must be returned as soon as possible (before 20 November 2007) to the hotel.
  5. Should you book accommodation telephonically, please remember to mention that you are booking for the Speaker Odyssey Conference. Should you fail to do this, the hotel might inform you that they are fully booked.
  6. The hotel will confirm your accommodation reservation directly with you.
  7. Please familiarise yourself with the accommodation cancellation policy as stipulated by the hotel. You can familiarise yourself with the Spier cancellation policy at www.spier.co.za/hotel/rates.htm.

How to get to Spier Estate

Spier is conveniently situated in the heart of the beautiful Wine Route within 25 minutes drive from Cape Town, ten minutes from Cape Town International Airport and five minutes from Stellenbosch.

From Cape Town

  1. Take the N2-Airport Road
  2. Continue past the Airport turnoff, this is approximately 10 km after the cooling towers.
  3. Take exit 33, which is the Baden Powell Drive/R310 Stellenbosch turn off.
  4. Turn left in the direction of Stellenbosch. Spier Estate is 9 km down the road on the right.

From Milnerton/Bellville and Brackenfell Areas

  1. Take N1 and take exit 47. Turn right at the stop sign and continue to Stellenbosch on the R44.
  2. As you drive into Stellenbosch keep straight and turn right into Adam Tas Road, which has the railway line on its right.
  3. Go past Simonsberg Cheeses and Bergkelder. Turn right at sign for Cape Town and Kuilsriver - R310.
  4. At the sign for Muizenberg - R310, turn left, if you go past Neethlingshof turn back. Spier is approximately 5 km down the Muizenberg road on the left.

From Somerset West/Gordon's Bay

  1. Take R44 North until you get the Annandale Road/Lynedoch turnoff.
  2. Turn left, continue straight until T-junction (at the Mooiberg Farmstall)
  3. Turn right and Spier is approximately 1 km on the right.

From Paarl Area

  1. Take R44 heading towards Stellenbosch.
